I Am Legend

In a post-apocalyptic New York City, busy urban streets are populated by wildlife and the ghosts of the past. What was touted as a panacea for cancer became a deadly virus, and Robert Neville, a military virologist, was the last known survivor in the city. He patrols the ruins by day, scavenging supplies and conducting experiments in his attempt to reverse the plague. At night, he hides from the infected — feral, light-sensitive beasts who travel in packs. With nothing but a loyal dog, Sam, to share his ride, Robert grasps at discipline and hope as loneliness and danger close in. But when a chance encounter upends the fragile balance, his mission — and humanity’s fate — hang in the balance.
