In the center of contemporary Paris, Diana Prince, a Louvre curator, is suddenly rejuvenated to her extraordinary past whenever Bruce Wayne sends her a picture from World War I, which starts a journey back into her reminiscences — to the hidden island of Themyscira, the homeland in the Amazon warriors. From the clandestine training under the watchful eye of her fierce aunt Antiope to the arrival of Steve Trevor, a pilot and refugee of a global war, Diana’s destiny is set in motion. Thinking the war spurred by the god Ares, she departs her pastoral island, equipped with ancient arms and an unquestioning resolve.
