Daniela Schneider
Biography
Daniela Schneider (Mexico City - 1980). She studied filmmaking in Barcelona at the same time as painting with sculptor Gabriel Sanz at the Escola Massana. Upon returning to Mexico, she worked on Carlos Reygadas' second film Batalla en el Cielo. In this same film she meets Amat Escalante, who months later invites her to direct the art direction of his first project, Sangre.
Her short film Pescador participates in the International Festival Clermont Ferrand, France, with the support of BBVA Bancomer. Her first feature film: Cesado, with the support of Hubert Bals of the International Film Festival Rotterdam, has its world premiere in the International Competition of FICUNAM, in 2011.
She has worked as a production and casting designer for over 18 years with filmmakers and producers such as Amat Escalante, Carlos Reygadas, Jaime Romandía, Alejandro Landes, David Pablos, Pablo Cruz, Lorenzo Vigas and Yorgos Lanthimos. He is currently writing what will be his second feature film and is working on different film projects related to the police in Mexico City and other states of the Republic.
