Biography

Considered one of the most prestigious cinematographers in the world, Javier Aguirresarobe, from Guipuzcoa, has more than 50 feature films to his credit and has worked with the greatest film directors in Spain and abroad: Fernando Trueba (La niña de tus ojos), Carlos Saura (Dispara), Pedro Almodóvar (Hable con ella), Alejandro Amenábar (Los otros, Mar adentro), Pilar Miró (El perro del Hortelano), Montxo Armendáriz (Obaba), Julio Medem (Tierra), Woody Allen (Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Blue Jasmine) or Milos Forman (Los fantasmas de Goya), among many others.

National Cinematography Award in 2004, six Goya Awards (out of 11 nominations), Silver Bear in Berlin (Beltenebros) and member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Hollywood, his latest works include the photography of the Twilight saga and the remake of the horror classic Poltergeist.
