Sarah Ruiz Del Vizo
Biography
Following a childhood dream, Sarah Ruiz Del Vizo moved to England to study production design at Arts University Bournemouth. During my time at university, she was able to production design and concept many short films as well as work as a PA/intern on feature films. Post-graduation in 2016, Vizo was selected by her university to be sponsored for the Graduate Entrepreneurship Visa, which allowed her to continue to live and work in the UK for another two years. On this visa, Vizo worked on an assortment of projects and gained traditional drafting skills while working as an Art PA/Junior Draughtsman on feature films such as The Secret Garden, Han Solo: A Star Wars Story, and Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw. As well as the opportunity to work with Stuart Craig and the London art department on the upcoming Fantastic Beast theme park. Vizo's visa expired in October 2019 and she moved to LA, where she became a set designer with the Art Directors Guild and had the opportunity to work with the virtual art department on the Star Wars spin-off ‘Ahsoka’, the sci-fi feature ‘Atlas’ in Los Angeles, and the upcoming Captain America movie filmed in Atlanta. Most recently, she worked remotely on a theme park project based in Saudi Arabia as part of the Vision 2030 project. Vizo believes that one of the best parts of working in this field is going to unexpected places and meeting some of the most inspiring and creative people from all over the world, taking risks to pursue their dreams and tell stories. As said by Guillermo Del Toro, “The best thing our industry does is to help erase the lines in the sand when the world tries to make them deeper.”
